Confessions of a Writer: Addiction

I  haven’t  acquired  an  alcohol  addiction,  but  caffeine  has  been  like  krypton…making  that  light  in  my  writing  extend   in  my  day  as  necessary,  since  my  writing  journey  began  to  blossom,  at  11  years  old.  I’m  sure  I  could  live  without  it,  but  do  I  want  to?  My  first  “dealer”  was  my  Mother…an  artist/designer/  and  one  of  many  trades,  whom  would  supply  me  with  top  of  the  line  bean,  straight  from  our  “high end”…..  Marathon  gas  station.  I’d  wait  anxiously  for  her  to  get  off  of  work  every  Friday,  and  walk  through  that  door  with  the sweetest  cappuccino  from  the  West  side  of  my  very  boring  little  town.  In  my  mind  it  was  the  best.  I  needed  that  bitter  alkaloid  for  my  “writing  process”…that  was  always  my  story…to  this  very  day.  -Raven Nicole`
