Confessions of a Writer: “Lord, help me! I’m VERY messed up!

We  are  such  dignified  people,  with  dignified expressions  towards  our  spiritual  shortcomings.  What  if,  rather  than  thinking  the  “truth”,  we  actually  spoke  it  out  loud?  How  much  healing  would  we  experience  when  we  realize  that  we  are  not  alone.

“I’m  hurting”

“I  want  to  die!”

“My  life  is  a  mess!”

“I want  to  be  alone…but  I  don’t  want  to  be  alone.”

“I’m  losing  it!  I’m  losing  my  mind!”

“My  kid(s)  make  me  sick!  I can’t  stand  them!”

“I  hate  this  world!”

Of  course  this  list  continues  and  I  would  be  a  liar  if  I  said  I  never  thought  ANY  of  these  things  at  some  point  in  my  life. All  of  them,  actually.  It  is  okay  to  not  always  be okay….and  to  admit  it.  It  is  normal  because  we  are  just ,people.  We  are  living  in  this  world.  Demands  are  high.  Expectations  are  ridiculous  as  we  cannot  be  perfect…EVER.

Here  are  some  positive  thoughts  to  counter  the  negative:

“If  God  be  for  us , who  can  be  against  us?” (Romans 8:31)

“God,  you  know  me!” (Psalm 139)

“God’s  mercy  endureth FOREVER.” (Psalm 136)

“Jesus  will  never  leave  me  nor  forsake  me.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3)

For  every  confusing, hurtful, painful  and  frustrating  thing  that  you  face…speak  LIFE  into  your  situation.
