Covers pulled back
Another day to face.
Already not fond of what I see.
Bands of vultures and lions await……
but your worth the fight for me.
Another voice, another look….
from people scorned and weary.
Under my arm I embrace you closely…
Don’t worry! They are not that scary.
To survive I learned quickly to see the end,
as if it were happening now…
When judgement has us vulnerable,
and giants are torn down.
The joy of the Lord is my strength,
and I owe it to you to smile,
to give you hope in a desolate place,
and walk with you through every mile.
My fight is like a shovel that is not just my own,
to clear a straight and narrow path…
to make sure your not alone.
I learned to bind the curses that tried to follow me…
from one generation to the next,
casts down to the pits of hell….
So keep a straight and forward walk,
Wage a merciless war.
Don’t be scared to sound the alarm.
Use your voice, and ROAR!
The devil is like an ant,
and your foot is what he fears,
crush him every chance you get,
for our day of redemption is near.
